"What do you have in the user name box."
[I was told something that wasn't what we gave her.]
"OK, what about your correct user name? The one we gave you?"
"What do you mean by correct?"
"It's the name we gave you when we set up the account, X.XXXXXX"
"How is that correct?"
"It's the one that'll work."
"That's beside the point, it may be correct to you but it's not correct to me."
"It's got a dot in it. I don't write my name like that!"
"It's not actually how you write your name. When you send an e-mail it'll come with
whatever name you want it to, I can set that up for you. It's just for your internet
account, to get on the intenet."
"But it's not correct is it?"
"OK, maybe correct was the wrong word..."
"Well it is because I don't have a dot in my name."
A few weeks later another staff member was commenting on her trying to connect
with a password that came out of thin air (literally it was "Blue Sky"), I guess she
just liked it better.
