So, we supply comps to a client that look great. I get an e-mail asking me why the
comps deviated from a document that they supplied to me. The document was a
flowchart created in Illustrator with square boxes and lame type representing
pages. What they were getting at was that they thought we would design the site
just like their flowchart.
So, I called them and said, I am going to be blunt and honest with you. If we
create what you supplied in your document, your site will look like it was designed
by a third grader. Ooohhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!! Their response, was just silence. Of
course I then explained why and then they understood and agreed. Sometimes
you just have to tell it like it is.
