A representative for the city council wanted the printshop I worked for to design
and print a form, and showed us a 2-colour one (black text and frames, yellow
raster) we had previously done. "I want it like this, but with just 1 colour - yellow."
We tried explaining that yellow text (8 pt.) on white paper would be almost
impossible to read - to no avail. "We know what we want, and if you don't do it for
us, we'll go elsewhere". So we designed and printed the form according to the
specs. The day after delivery, the client phoned, complaining angrily about how the
text on her form was illegible.
