I work in a security booth at a Max Security Detention Centre and every so often things go bump in the night.
My partner was on duty the other night when an alarm started to go off in an unoccupied room.
This can drive you crazy at night having to listen to it incessantly pinging on the computer.
Now my partner isn't all that savvy when it come sto computers and as it happened the In Charge wasn't either.
So they called another In Charge and asked him whatb to do.
He proceeded to tell my partner John to log into the administration system and disable the offending alarm, then reboot the system.
When it came time to log back on John was told to put in the username and password, MANAGER MANAGER.
After 5 minutes of trying with no success things were heating up on the phone lines. The conversation went like this:
IC (Paul): put in the username and password
SO (John): what is it
IC : Manager Manager
SO : nothing
IC : do it again
SO : still nothing
after 5 minutes of trying this and many others;
IC : DO YOU KNOW HOW TO SPELL MANAGER!
SO : Yes MANGERMANGER
Then the lights came on the foolproof system of having the same username and password showed its fatal flaw.
John has now earned the nickname "managermanager"
