First a little background:
I work in a theatre. On a recent job, I was working in the fly tower, doing some flying.
Flying is where you lift out and lower in various backdrops, cloths and other things that need to go up and down to give whatever effect we're after.
During one rehearsal, we're given our standby, and "GO!"
We fly in the piece - it's a huge painting, and weighs about 80kg after counterweighting, so it's not exactly the easiest job in the world.
Director yells: That's good, but I'd like to see it done more "personally".
*cue hysterical laughter*
