We'd completed a small web site and delivered it to the client after first demonstrating its features including the hosting account control panel where the site's web-stats could be read. A few months go by and an email arrives which states:
Client: How do I find out the number of visitors to my website?
Us: You need to log-in to your hosting account control panel with the following Username & Password. A couple of days go by and we get another email.
Client: I still can't access the control panel.
Us: We check the login URL and login details and confirm back to the client with the advice that they should 'cut and paste' the login details out of the email into the login boxes and that they should make sure their 'CAPS Lock' is not turned on (a common problem) as the Username and Password are 'case sensitive'.
Client's Reply: What does 'cut and paste' mean, what is 'case sensitive' and where on the web site is the 'CAPS Lock' key?
A phone call sorted them out, but what can you say? Who are these people?
