I was being a good Communications Team member and helping our new AD of Development design a flier for a fundraising event (which was the next day - I'm not sure who was going to get the flier and suddenly decide to attend!). She was using Word.
Anyway, I suggested she add a line of text, and since everything else on the flier was centered, that she should center it as well. (I shuddered at everything on the page, including the script font over the picture of a foot surrounded by heads, so I figured I'd just let the layout go.)
So - to center the line? She clicks next to the first character and taps on the spacebar until it "looks pretty good, right?"
Yeah. It looks great.
She was fired a few weeks later, and it's rumored that she misrepresented her skills. Duh.
